Union Square Steps, 911 Anniversary
This photograph was shot precisely one year after the first September 11 attack, at 8.47am. Many hundreds of people were in Union Square, and there was almost total silence between 8.47 and 9.05 (the time of the second plane attack). Below are some magnifications of parts of the above photograph.
